BIKE O RAMA 2008 in Bay Minette, AL BIKE-O-RAMA is an annual event to benefit Bay Minette Civic Club's "CHARITY FUND"- Established for charitable relief of the poor, distressed, and underprivileged in our community. ALL PROCEEDS HELP NEEDY PEOPLE IN BAY MINETTE & NORTH BALDWIN COUNTY, ALABAMA This rally's been going on for quite some time, and is now at their new location at Chuck Stevens Motorsports right on the main street in Bay Minette. A small covered stage area off to the side, and a large field out back with primitive camping for both tenting & Rv'ers. Several live bands, a poker run, both a Saturday & Sunday bike show, dice run, some bike games, a charity auction, horseshoe tournament and a couple of vendors pretty well sum it up. The best part of this show in my opinion was the Patriot Guard's salute to veterans, where they had some real American heroes line up in front of the stage for a tribute. One of these guys actually served in world war two, Korea and Vietnam! When people serve above and beyond the call of duty they certainly deserve extra respect. You have to remember that bike-o-rama is NOT a real biker party but rather a charity fund raiser with 100% of the profits going to benefity LOCAL Bay Minette people in need. A wild party it is not, but it IS the kind of rally where you can go hang out for an afternoon & contribute to help out your community. ENTRY FEES : $10 per person for the entire weekend.
